This class deals with: obtaining proper orders for treamtent; writing medically appropriate SOAP notes, and how to communicate with phyisicans and other ancillary providers.

 

Advanced Visual Assessment

& Range of Motion Evaluation            8 CE

  This class focuses on advanced visual assessments, range of motion evaluations, and muscle strain testing. It give the particiapants the skills they need to take the information found in their visual assessment, ROM & strain testing and set an effective treatment plan.

 

The Pelvic Key: Opening the Door

to Orthopedic Massage                         8 CE

This class is an introductory level orthopedic massage therapy class focusing on pelvic stabilization and conditions affecting the low back and hips. Particiapants will learn advanced anatomy, pathology, visual assessment, muscle strain tests, as well as massage / stretch / strengthening techniques.

Massage and Stretch focuses on advanced massage and stretching techniques used to help the client/patient reach their maximum performance. These techniques are also very helpful in the clinic situation when dealing with chronic muscle imbalances.

Another entry level orthopedic massage class focusing on the cervical and shoulder region. Participants will learn advanaced anatomy, pathology, visual assessments, muscle strain testing, as well as massage / strech / strengthening techniques.

An entry level orthopedic massage class focused on treating conditions of the arm, elbow and wrist. Participants will learn advanced anatomy, pathology, visual assessement, muscle strain testing, as well as massage / stretch / strengthening techniques.

Leg and Ankle                                         8 CE

Entry level orthopedic massage course focused on conditions of the lower leg and ankle. Partipants will learn advanced anatomy, pathology, visual assessment, muscle strain testing, as well as massage/ stretch / strengthening techniques.

 

Working with Special Needs

Children                                                    8 CE

This class looks at the joys, and struggles of working with special needs children. An often forgotten community in the massage industry; these children need our services as much; or more, than most client/patients we are currently serving. Participants will learn basic pathology for many conditions they may encounter when working with the children. They will also learn to think outside of the normal treamtent box, and incorporate alternative techniques that will make therapy fun and exciting for the children.

 

Falling in Love with

Massage Therapy Again

(Self Care)                                                8 CE

 A must have for any massage therapist suffering from burnout. This class takes an honest look at what is wrong in our field. It answers many universal questions facing massage therapists. While encouraging self care, and activism.

 

Insurance Billing &

Reimbursement                                     8 CE

A must have for all massage therapists practicing in the medical field. This class looks at all aspects of working with insurance providers including: becoming a provider, orders for treatment, coding, treatment plans, scope of practice, reimbursement rates, and dealing with denials.

 

Ethics for the Massage

Therapist in the Medical Field           4 CE

A four hour class looking at all ascpect of ethics for a massage therapist working in the medical field inculding dual relationships, scope of practice, and billing practices. This class also looks at HIPPA rules and regulations, and give the massage therapist the tools needed to protect their patients as well as themselves.

Course Prices

 8 CE credit courses          $100

4 CE credit courses          $50

 

 

SAVE money by registering for the two and three day seminars. or by registering for two or more one day seminars at one time. Average saving is $25.00 per additional instructional day. 

 

 

Effective June 1, 2008

A 25% increase will be added for all one day seminars that require travel of 100 miles or more from the 25541 zip code. Unless seminars are privately sponsored by a school or individual then fees will be set by the host.
